Our man Studley arrived on Hill Construction jobsites in the early 1980s as no more than an eye-catching sign. Little did we know he would become the company’s dashing ambassador in short order. At the time, no one had thought to give him a name, but some of the female employees had different plans. They decided on Studley—after a building's wall stud, of course. Since that time, Studley has been copyrighted, written about in the Post and Courier; appeared in the international edition of USA Today newspaper, used by schools in sponge tosses, stolen and left on downtown streets as the College of Charleston let out for summer (so many times we quit counting), made into miniature as gifts for our clients, and announced births, all told being seen and admired by several hundred thousand people.
When you see Studley, let us know on Instagram with #studleysighting. We like to keep tabs on our man about town.
